Ms. Smith graduated from the University of Kansas in 2000 and received her Juris Doctor in 2005 from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. She was admitted to practice law in 2005 and joined the firm in November 2005. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Smith clerked for the Colorado Springs office of the firm for two years during law school summer breaks.  

Ms. Smith concentrates her practice on general litigation defense and the defense of public entities and their employees.  

Ms. Smith is a member of the American, Colorado, and El Paso County Bar Associations, the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, and the Defense Research Institute.
